Originally from Bishop Auckland in County Durham, Paul & Meg Ellison went to Elim Pentecostal Bible College (now Regents Theological College) in 1988 and have been involved in building and leading successful growing churches ever since. On November 3rd, 2013 Paul, Meg and a small group of friends started Family Church in Gateshead which later became known as Kings Church Gateshead. Our first Sunday service was held in a local conference facility which immediately proved to be too small and within a few weeks we moved into Gateshead Old Town Hall. Sunday services continued there until November 2016 when we moved into a permanent full-time location on Swan Street – right in the heart of Gateshead’s new and developing town centre. Six years later in April 2024 we moved into our current church location of South Street Community Primary School, Cramer Street in Gateshead.
Kings Church Gateshead is an Elim Pentecostal Church.
We are a thriving Church where people from every generation and walk of life are welcome and encouraged to get involved. In doing so we all grow together as the family of God. We believe all people are created in God’s image to be in a loving relationship with Him and we are passionate about sharing the message of God’s amazing love.
